Work Package 7

Lead: Tallinn University (TLU)
Duration: Month 1 – Month 36

WP7 ensures the long-term legacy of the project by establishing the TeacherMaker Academy and setting up effective structures for dissemination, policy dialogue, and sustainability. It aims to position the Academy as a hub for research, training, and collaboration in maker-based education.

Key objectives:

  • Formally establish the Teacher Academy as a sustainable international body;
  • Maximise the reach and impact of the project results;
  • Promote alignment with EU education initiatives and inform policy development;
  • Secure long-term sustainability through diversified funding sources.

Key tasks include:

T7.1 Establishment of the Teacher Academy:
Create the TeacherMaker Academy as a transnational structure with a statute, governing bodies, and coordination by TLU. The Academy will be maintained beyond the project and supported by all partners. Includes setting up financial strategies for long-term sustainability.

T7.2 Dissemination and promotion:
Ensure visibility and uptake of results among education stakeholders and policy makers. Key activities include:

  • Publishing scientific and practitioner materials (6 journal papers, 12 conference papers);
  • Participating in major conferences (e.g. ESERA, EduLearn, FabLearn);
  • Running a project website and social media;
  • Hosting annual international conferences on maker education, starting with one at the project’s end.

 T7.3 Coordination with EU and international initiatives:
Link project outcomes with initiatives like eTwinning, the European School Education Platform, and FabLearn Europe. Facilitate exchange of best practices and leverage synergies for further dissemination.

T7.4 Sustainability measures:
Secure future funding from EU programmes (Horizon Europe, ERASMUS+), national schemes, and private sources. Support will be channelled toward maintaining the Academy, scaling successful outcomes, and continuing the community-building efforts initiated during the project.
